Our commitment
Chemmo Holdings, LLC operates Troop Connect as an adults-only communication platform whose content is often about minor children in youth organizations. We take the safety of those children seriously and design the product, vendor contracts, and operational policies accordingly.
Adults-only accounts
Accounts require users to be 18 years of age or older. We ask for a date of birth at signup, require an affirmative attestation, and will suspend accounts we learn are operated by a minor.
CSAM prevention and reporting
Every image uploaded is scanned against known child-sexual-abuse-material hash sets. Any hash match triggers automatic quarantine, account freeze, preservation of the material under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and a report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org. We cooperate with law-enforcement investigations.
Two-deep leadership principles
Our product design encourages the “two-deep” leadership norm of youth-serving organizations: channel communications are visible to all channel members, role-based permissions limit access to sensitive data such as medical information, and permission-slip data flows only to designated leaders, not to general chat.
Reporting concerns
Every user can report a concern from any message, profile, or channel. Safety reports route to our safety team for review. For immediate danger, always call 911 (or your local emergency number). For urgent child-safety concerns, you can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678.
Law enforcement
Our Law Enforcement Guide at /troop-connect/legal/law-enforcement.html describes our response to subpoenas, warrants, and emergency disclosure requests.
